Old Brentwoods London Dinner 2019

The President of the Society, John Hubbard (1963-74), warmly invites all Old Brentwoods to the annual Old Brentwoods London Dinner on Friday 22nd November 2019.

This year's venue will be the Royal Automobile Club, 89 Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 5HS, Britain's home of motoring and one of the most influential motoring organisations in the world.

We are delighted to announce that the President's Guest Speaker will be Sir David Wootton - Lord Mayor 2011-12, member of the Board of TheCityUK since 2015, lead representative on the TheCityUK Brexit Law Committee and Alderman of the City of London.

The evening's arrangements are below for you:

Timings: 6:30pm - Drinks Reception, 7:30pm - 3 course dinner.

Dress code: Black Tie

Price: £80 per person (£70 under 30s) - partners are very welcome

We also hope to offer a tour of the prestigious and exclusive Trophy Room, details of which will follow.

There will be tables of 8 so please bear this in mind for your seating requests.

There will be a choice of starter, main and dessert this year as shown below (your preferences/dietary requirements will need to be indicated upon booking) and there will be the customary 1/2 bottle of wine per person included.

Starters:

Lobster Bisque with fine cognac and saffron

Salad of Parma Ham, roasted San Marzana tomatoes, mozzarella and basil oil

Vine tomato tart, tapenade, pesto and salad leaves (v)

Mains:

Medallions of Hereford Beef Bourguignon, herb mash and roasted roots

Tournedo of Monkfish, cassolette of beans, chorizo and roasted peppers

Wild Mushroom Cannelloni, purée of spinach, shaved truffles and parmesan (v)

Desserts:

Orange crème brulée, garibaldi biscuit

Chocolate fondant, white chocolate cream, vanilla ice cream

Tiramisu, coffee ice cream and milk chocolate
